Panther, the UK's leader in providing local reliable powered access rental, has appointed Tim Williams as Service Manager to handle all aspects of the company's busy Service Department.

Panther Platform Rentals, one of the fastest growing companies in the powered access industry, has achieved full SAFE contractor accreditation, a scheme that assesses the Health & Safety competency of contractors and service providers, and one used by many large organisations.

Kestrel Powered Access has become Panther Platform Rentals, continuing to specialise in local reliable access rental. As an established market leader of powered access equipment in Bristol and the South West of the UK, Kestrel will now be known as 'Panther Bristol', complementing the existing network of Panther depots.

With Lavendon Group, the world's largest and most successful access rental company behind it, March 31st 2008 sees Panther unveiling its brand new image. This new identity will also see further growth with Kestrel Powered Access becoming the new Panther Bristol branch, adding over 400 machines and increasing both national coverage and equipment choice.

Panther Platform Rentals, one of the fastest growing companies in the access industry, have just helped complete important maintenance work at Wroughton Airfield near Swindon, Wiltshire. Following a thorough site inspection, the Niftylift manufactured Height Rider 21 boom, was supplied for the job. The machine is one of over 20 brand new HR21 booms that have become part of Panther's ongoing investment since their successful acquisition by Lavendon Group PLC.

Panther Platform Rentals, one of the fastest growing providers of powered access hire have expanded their refurbishment centre at their headquarters in Luton. A brand new painting facility has been built to make sure that equipment always looks in pristine condition, and with a substantial amount of floor space the facility can accommodate even the largest of machines in Panther Platform Rentals' fleet.

Panther Platform Rentals are continuing with their ongoing investment in new machines at branches throughout the UK with the addition of 80 brand new Power Towers. Manufactured by CTE, the light weight, push along Power Tower is the simple solution to working safely at low level heights of up to 5.1 metres.

Panther Platform Rentals were recently called in to help with the installation of a giant sculpture of a spider outside London's Tate Modern Gallery. A Nifty Lift HR15N was chosen to assist with the positioning of Maman, the work of 95 year old celebrated artist Louise Bourgeois, directly on to the concourse between the River Thames and the Tate Modern Building.

Panther Platform Rentals recently supplied the Samaritans with a V20 truck mounted boom to take down a large banner that spanned the width of Tunnel Road, just off Reigate High Street in Surrey. A number of avenues had been explored in aiding the taking down of the 5 metre wide banner, but Panther Platform Rentals came up with a suitable solution.
