Company History

Established in 1978, Panther Platform Rentals is a UK leader in the hire and sale of powered access equipment.

As one of the first privately owned powered access companies in the UK, Panther opened its first depot in Kensworth, Bedfordshire, not far from their current headquarters in Luton.

After successful expansion over the years through the supply of quality equipment via an expanded national network of well-placed depots, Panther was identified as a leading powered access company by Lavendon Group PLC and, in 2006, became part of the largest specialist powered access provider in the World.

The advantages became immediately apparent, with Panther able to offer an even broader range of machines along with greater UK coverage.

Today Panther, as part of Lavendon Access Services, offers 15000 machines to their customers, via over 70 UK outlets.

2008 promises to be another exciting year for Panther. Kestrel Powered Access has already joined the Panther team and later in the year A.M.P. Access and Higher Platforms will also join Panther, giving an even better service for customers.
